So basically before Chiro came along, the Hyperforce fought against Skeleton king with song, their sound frequency and over all ‘power primate’ radiance screw the formless and monsters up. That and he citizens can actually understand the monkeys when they sing and stuff. They then grew in popularity and Mandarin became the most popular and became leader.
However due to his corruption and popularity, he wanted to rule over Shugazoom and the Hyperforce was like, “Aw hell no.” and locked him up after many incidents. Soon also the Hyperforce and Skeleton King made a deal and after Skeleton king left Shugazoom alone, the Hyperforce were soon put in stasis by accident on their way back from the deal making. Even though people tried to search for their robot, but were unsuccessful. Soon enough they were forgotten.
Until Chiro found them and Skeleton king decided to attack them again.
Then the Hyperforce teaches him their techniques and singing and all that stuff. He actually becomes pretty good, but doesn’t have the same leader radiance that Mandarin had. Until Mandarin actually comes back, seeking revenge. After his defeat by the Hyperforce, Skeleton king basically manipulates him into seeing him for ‘assistance’ but
as we saw in episode 26 it doesn’t go over well and he becomes Bulk vanderhuge. Skeleton King then uses Mandarin to try to win citizens over with the same thing the Hyperforce does and tries to screw with their tech. Then one time after Mandarin basically totals Jinmay, a fan that Chiro met that turns out to be a robot, and she crash lands on Shugazoom, weak. This pisses Chiro off and he and Mandarin fight and during the fight, Chiro achieves the radiance that the original leader once had and basically kicks Mandarin’s ass until Sakko captures almost all the Hyperforce and attempts to kill Chiro.
Now the huge difference between canon and this is that it ends…a little differently. Chiro, Gibson, and a recharged Jinmay, go out to the citidel to save them, with Chiro fully achieving the ‘power primate radiance’ (I need to come up with a better term for that) and somehow during the fight, Antauri goes missing and the Hyperforce were controlled to destroy the city. Then Chiro breaks their control by a song he personally grew up with and it breaks their…spider…thingies..seriously what are those??
Also during this time, Mandarin’s corruption is becoming weaker and eventually leaves, both from Chiro’s song and Skeleton King betraying him to make a better clone by taking his corrupted power away to finish his clone. He looses nearly all his power that Skeleton King gave him (Not changing his appearance because that shit is permanent) and all hope for this nerd is pretty much dead.
With more attacks still coming in at a much quicker rate and the fact they don’t have Antauri, Chiro is all like, “If you still care about this planet like we do, then sing with everything you have”
and they basically kick fucking ass, defeating the formless army and Mandarin's ‘power primate radiance idk i need a better name’ comes back in full swing. And Antauri eventually comes back after being trapped due to him having a much stronger will than the others.
So it ends pretty well for them…for now…Skeleton King is making plans to back up the Mandarin clone.
